The touring exhibition A Different Light presents a fascinating selection of early photography from Aotearoa, drawn from the photographic collections of three major research libraries – Tāmaki Paenga Hira Auckland War Memorial Museum, Alexander Turnbull Library and Hocken Collections Uare Taoka o Hākena. Louise Garrett, curator of the photographic archive at the Turnbull, will join curators Shaun Higgins (Auckland Museum), Natalie Marshall (formerly Turnbull) and Anna Petersen (Hocken) to find out more about the key themes of the show and explore of the significance of some of the works on display.
